How do I make a complaint or provide feedback?

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service at the Adelaide Central Market, you can provide your feedback by emailing admin@adelaidecentralmarket.com.au or calling (08) 8203 7494. Alternatively you can write to: Adelaide Central Market Authority, Level 1, 44–60 Gouger Street, Adelaide, South Australia 5000.

How do I get a stall at the Market?

What is the Producer in Residence?

The Producer in Residence is available for new food businesses looking to test their products or ideas directly with customers, with no or limited existing stockists. Please find more information here.


Is the Market still open?

During construction of the Market Expansion, we can assure you that your favourite stalls remain open as usual during our normal trading hours.


Merchandise / Tours

Where can I buy merchandise?

Market merchandise can be purchased from The Market Stall or online. Please note that only certain items are available for shipping.


Can I purchase a Market gift card?

Yes. Gift cards are available in $20 or $50 amounts and are redeemable at many of your favourite Adelaide Central Market stalls. Vouchers can be purchased online or at The Market Stall located near the central Gouger Street entrance.


Is it possible to do a tour of the market?

Unfortunately we do not offer tours of the Market, however there are a variety of tours available operated through third-party groups.


School / School Holidays

School Holiday Event Dates?

Our School Holiday Events are run during every April, July and October school holidays. Our program will be listed on our What's On page when bookings are open.


How Can I Book For School Holiday Events?

Tickets will usually be available a few weeks leading up to the holidays. Not to worry if you miss out — every event day there will be a limited number of tickets available for walk-ins. We recommend getting there at 9am to guarantee a spot. All event tickets are available on Eventbrite.


Do you run any events or tours for schools?

No, we do not run any events or tours specifically for schools. Please see our schools page for more information.


Where should students have lunch or recess?

The Adelaide Central Market can quickly become crowded, so we recommend Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga as a place to sit and eat for large groups of students.

Do you have a customer desk or Market Stall?

Yes! Located at the central Gouger St entrance, The Market Stall is your go-to for Market questions, information and more including: FREE trolley hire (ID and deposit required), Gift Cards, Market merchandise, free colouring-in sheets and pencils for kids, and Market, trader and product information.


Where can I pick up a Market map?

There is a Market map available on our website located here or you can pick up a physical copy at The Market Stall (central Gouger St entrance).


What does it mean by ‘optional trading day’?

An optional trading day means that it is not a compulsory trade day and not all stalls are open on this day. We recommend contacting individual traders directly to check whether they are open.


Transport, Facilities and Regulations

Where is the lost and found?

If you find an item, wish to report a missing item or collect a missing item, you can also do so at The Market Stall.


Is there a parents’ room available?

Yes. We have a parents' room located within the Gouger Street dining area (across from Providore).


When is the Market car park open?

The car park is open 24/7.


How much is parking?

During Market trading hours from Tuesday–Saturday: the first hour is free for UPark Plus members, with a standard hourly rate thereafter. This offer is not available when the Market is closed. See our parking page for how to sign up, standard hourly fees, night fees, weekend fees and specials, or visit the UPark Central Market website.


My parking ticket isn’t working?

Please proceed to a pay station located within the UPark and push the information or help icon on the pay station to speak directly to a UPark team member.


What if I have lost my parking ticket?

Please proceed to a pay station located within the UPark and push the information or lost ticket button on the pay station to speak directly to a UPark team member.


Are dogs allowed in the Market?

With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not permitted in the Adelaide Central Market.


Can I smoke in the Market?

No. The Adelaide Central Market and UPark Central Market are smoke-free zones.


Is there anywhere to lock up my bicycle if I ride in to the Market?

There are public bicycle racks located outside of the Market on Gouger and Grote streets.


Free City Bus Loops

The Adelaide City Connector is a free city loop bus service that runs across two loops — an inner Adelaide city connector loop and an extended city loop around North Adelaide. Both routes (98A, 98C Extended Loop and 99A, 99C Inner Loop) pass the Adelaide Central Market along Grote Street. Find more information on the Adelaide Metro website.
